Reiki Courses

Reiki is a gentle, yet powerful, hands-on healing technique that is taught through a special ‘energy transmission’, also called attunement process.

This creates an open channel for the healing energy to flow through the Reiki healer to the receiver. Once a person has opened up to become a ‘channel’ for Reiki, concentrated life energy will pass through his hands of its own accord and will retain this ability for the rest of his life.

Reiki works on many different levels of mind, body, emotions and spirit and produces a deep cleansing. It loosens up blocked energy, helps cleanse the body of toxins and supports each individual’s healing process. It is used to effectively treat a variety of physical ailments and can also be used for self-healing, mental healing and distant healing.

The meaning of the japanese symbols are:
REI – the cosmic, universal energy
KI – the fundamental life force

Tanmaya's Reiki Lineage

Tanmaya is part of the spiritual tradition started by Dr. Usui, the founder of Reiki. Her methods of teaching adhere to the nine elements of the Usui tradition, which includes the original Reiki symbols, hand positions and energy attunements.

Tanmaya's lineage goes directly back to the source of Reiki. She trained with one of the few Masters initiated by Hawayo Takata, who introduced Reiki to the Western World.
